Event: A Night Of Trance vs Frantic

Capacity: 900 persons, 2 dance floors

The inspiration for this event was to combine two leading and musically similar Sydney nightclub events. I believed that a mega event, formed by the combination of these two events would be successful because both events had target patrons with similar demographic, socio-economic and musical tastes.

A Night Of Trance, is my Trance event brand in Sydney and at this time was attracting an average of 750 patrons per event. Frantic was a leading Hard Trance event brand in Sydney and at this time was attracting an average of 500 patrons per event. By creating a battle event, it ensured fans of both events made the effort to attend in support of their favorite DJs. Although there was some cannibalization effects, overall their was a significant increase in patron attendance while the cost base was kept the same as an individual A Night Of Trance event. This ensured that the event was very successful both financially and for the patrons themselves.
